En palabras de Roger Guàrdia, director de la pieza: “Me gusta jugar con un crescendo o una evolución continua de las piezas que dirijo. No es buena idea darle absolutamente todo al espectador desde el principio. Puede parecer bastante obvio y corres el peligro de convertir la película en algo aburrido.
Siento que escribir, contar historias, construir una escena o una película se trata al fin y al cabo de crear lo que crees que es lo más interesante o genial, y en este caso el impacto de la orquesta se va desenvolviendo tras escenas previas en las que podemos ver a los actores. Caminan por el espacio descubriendo al espectador los recovecos. Es como si estuvieras intentando seducir al espectador.
La intuición pesa aún más que las reglas académicas a las que no me siento apegado. Cómo muestras y das la información, cómo construyes el escenario, el tempo, la atmósfera, etc. Teniendo esto en cuenta, entra en juego la intuición. Realicé el trabajo de una manera que me permitió tener un poco más de libertad para intentar mejorar las cosas, tanto en el rodaje como en la sala de edición”.

It’s not a good idea to give the viewer absolutely everything from the beginning. It can seem quite obvious and you run the risk of turning the film into something boring.
I feel that writing, storytelling, building a scene or a film is ultimately about creating what you think is the most interesting or coolest thing, and in this case the impact of the orchestra is unfolding after previous scenes where we can see the actors. They walk through the space revealing the nooks and crannies to the viewer. It is as if you were trying to seduce the viewer.
Intuition weighs even more than the academic rules to which I don’t feel attached. How you show and give the information, how you construct the setting, the tempo, the atmosphere, etc. With this in mind, intuition comes into play. I did the work in a way that allowed me a bit more freedom to try to improve things, both on set and in the editing room”.
